Carers’ Perspectives on Care-Giving
The way in which these carers described their experiences of caring provides a valuable insight into the diverse ways in which this experience becomes part of their lives and what it meant to them. As well as reflecting on caring in the context of life histories, as I have done in the previous three chapters, we can also consider how carers talked about care-giving and to start to relate this to an ethic of care and to social justice. This will enable us to make links between the personal and social significance of care-giving.
